The UN Security Council, the UN General Assembly, the UN Secretariat, UNDP, and a few other UN agencies are based in New York, USA. UNESCO, however, is based in Paris. There are other UN agencies based in Geneva. Other major UN agencies are located in Vienna, Nairobi, Rome, The Hague, Addis Ababa, Montreal, Copenhagen, and Bonn.

If you are asking if the UN Security Council, the UN General Assembly and the UN Secretariat should be moved from the USA -- I think where it is is the least of its problems.

The UN's NYC location was paid for by Nelson Rockefeller. France, the UK and the Netherlands voted against situating the headquarters in the United States. According to sources cited on Wikipedia, the Canadian government has proposed Montreal as a site to move the headquarters. The location of the main UN bodies has come down to one thing, IMO: money, as in who is willing to pay to create the space for HQ, and for the security that goes along with having such an organization within the country's borders.

I'd love to see them evicted from the US.  They do little more than make toothless resolutions, profit from their own scandals, and build monuments to their own impotence that they man with American lives.
