This could be related with my internet connection as well. So, 2 days ago it told me to install updates which was the Windows XP Service Pack 3 and my internet was fine. After I installed the updates, it rebooted, but for some reason I couldn't access no webpages on IE or Firefox, but I am already connected to the wireless network. Does anyone know how to fix this? I tried restarting the modem and router, but still no luck. Thanks and have a great day!

IPCONFIG DIDNT WORK!!! HELP! DHCP IS ENABLED!

The strange thing is I am already conencted to the wireless network, but I can't connect to a BROWSER. Very strange .Hopefully I'll get it fixed, but please hook me up with soem suggestions. Thanks!

It's not ZoneAlarm. I will keep editing this until my problem is solved. So please help me.

  1. did you call your isp provider?  this happened to me a couple of days ago and come to find out they had "quarintined" my service cause someone downloaded something containing a virus ....

  2. you did NOT use the full ipconfig command.

    you need to write in

    ipconfig /flushdns

    ipconfig /release

    ipconfig /renew

    try that

if that does not work, it must be some error with the service pack you have, get service pack 1.

  3. ok well from the looks of it it cant be the router because my take is your connected on a wired connection from another pc , so this tell me that since you did a sp update and things went crazy that the sp3 has hosed the winsock

    run this

    http://www.snapfiles.com/get/winsockxpfi...

and one thing why do people continue to answer question in the tech section of yahoo answers when they have NO CLUE  what they are talking about ??

  4. Go into the router's interface.  Change the wireless channels to 1, 6, or 11.  Do not use any of the other channels as they will over lap.

If that does not work, you might want to consider this:
