Can't Governments , in India, do something to avoid accicidents and killing of innocent people like us?

people crossing roads,boarding city buses,getting off buses,two wheeler riders and paedestrians overtaking other paedestrians and vehicles parked at unauthorized places on the roads are the victims.No facilities to cross roads.How many bridges or zebra crosses are there.What is a zebra cross meant for.Has it got any importance.

Too many people, too many vehicles, not enough police involvement and the lack of understanding the rules of the road, can anything be done.....its never to late to try..

Crossing roads should be pleasent. Pedstrains should boldly cross the roads. Drivers are ready to stop if directed to stop. I am driver and I always cross the road easily / fastly by making others stop.

countries like India have limited govt resources, too many people and a host of related problems.  in no country of the world can we continue to count on our govts to provide, as they are overspent, underfunded, etc.  it seems we each has to figure out how to survive and thrive with precious little assistance from bureaucracy.

No.It doesn't have time for civic amenities or enforcement of traffic laws.The Govt. is busy on settling differences between coalition partners, garniering of vote banks by doles,etc.The police is very busy to cater to VIPs travel,safety etc no time for the common man or rather no incentive.The people are more concerned about inflation, lack of basic ameneties like light,water,garbage,roads,etc.

So no one has time to even put a thought on the life of innocent people.Only prayers can be done.
