Question:

Can't Process UDP: Port 6112?

This question has been asked before but I couldn't find an answer for my situation: Starcraft has always worked for me before, but today it suddenly came up with this message: Cannot process UDP (packets? or something) because port 6112 is blocked.

I have Windows Fireware turned off and I have Norton Antivirus. These have always been my computer's settings. I disabled Norton's antivirus features to no effect. What could be the sudden change to cause this?

  1. This problem sounds like you have a home network with a router, which may be causing this problem.

    You should first of all:

    1. Power off the cable/DSL modem completely.

    2. Power off your router.

    3. Power off all the computers on your home network.

    4. Power on the cable/DSL modem until the ligths are back to normal.

    5. Turn on the router until the lights are blinking normally.

    6. Turn on your computers once again and turn off all firewall software.

Should this not resolve the issue, then this may be an issue with port forwarding.

For Diablo, Warcraft II Battle.net Edition, and StarCraft you will need to allow port 6112-6119 TCP and UDP out and in on your router.

Log into your router interface and set up port forwarding and this should resolve the issue.  Without knowing what brand of router or if you even have one, I can't assist further.  Good luck :)

  2. Do you use a router?

If you have a router, then You can configure it to open port 6112

Or you can even do it with out a router:

EDIT: do you know if your router has "Port Forwarding Options?"
