Can't afford a Britax Car Seat - Any comparable models?

Although I would love to buy the Britax Car Seat, I just can't afford $350.00 for a car seat. (In Canada, the cheapest I've found them for is $299 plus tax.) Surely there must be a comparable but cheaper model that is safe, easy to use and affordable? Any suggestions would be appreciated. I need something that has easy to use straps. My current seat is awful The straps are hard to adjust and tangle and twist. I want to avoid this in the future.

the Evenflo triumph 5. That carseat is $170 and has the best ratings, even better than britax. I found that in consumer reports.

I love Eddie Bauer car seats.

I'm also a big fan of Cosco Scenera's.
