Can't beat Misty in Pokemon Red?

Question

My charmeleon can't seem to take out her water pokemon. any sweet tips to help me out?

That's why you train a team of at least 3 pokemon (in the beginning) and 6 later on.

Go back to Viridian forest and catch some pokemon. Train the to Lv 10-15 then go back to Misty.

Grab another type Misty's Water Types will destroy Charmeleon, I used Butterfree's Confusion, I think it can get Sleep Powder also by then.

if you can't beat her then the best solution is to just train your pokemon to a more higher level than her's.  Ten levels ahead of her pokemon will help.

i would simply take down your rival and work your way up the bridge first, thats what i always do

before you go on after you take down the 5 trainers and the team rocket guy, catch a belsprout in the grass up top, and train it by battling the two mountain climer trainers that are like right there (all have rock pokemon, but i think one might have a machop

just train that belsprout untill it knows sleep power, or poisin powder, or just get it to at least lvl 18 (if you take down all of the weak trainers, u can just take down lvl 8-10 sandshrews to the west of cerulian

i just kept fighting other pokemon to get my level up

you know the bridge, well the grass next to it has some grass pokemon, train them, it'll own misty.
