Can't bend arms, may have a bruised vain?

I was working out a couple of days ago and when I woke up the next day, I wasn't able to bend my arms at all! It hurt so much every time I tried to. When I touch the muscle on the upper part of my arm, it hurts intensively. Then when I touch middle part of my arm, it literally kills.

So I stayed with my arms bent all day long, which I thought was ridiculous because I looked like i was flexing... and I just started working out, so I don't have anything yet. What could the problem be? What should I do to heal my arms? I'm 16.

- Thanks a lot!

  1. you are just sore. just rest and try some ice for comfort. you have a build up of lactic acid and it just has to work its way out. try massage and ice. it has nothing to do with veins.

  2. You should move them around a little bit even though they hurt.  It doesn't sound like you did any warm ups to stretch you muscles before working out.  Also, you might want to start with a little bit lighter weights.  You overworked your muscles from the sound of it.  Try drinking a lot of fluids too.  Waters best.

  3. You hurt yourself by not easing into it. You probably need to lay your arms out and put ice on them. Slowly every day bend them a little more. Soon enough you'll be able to bend them again. I also would suggest Ibuprofen to ease the pain. If it doesn't heal within 5 days go see a doctor. When you can move your arms again wait 3 days before beginning to work out again. But make sure to ease your arms into it.
