It is greyed out in the area where you can change it bigger, i did change it from 800 by 600 to the largest size, but it was in low bit color, also it is not my video card because it worked fine before i formatted it

  1. Right click on you desktop, then click properties. Then click the settings tab. Then you can change the resolution.

  2. Your may need to update the video card drivers from the manufacturers website if you just formatted and re-installed Windows.

Then you should be able to change the Video Settings.

  3. Find out the make of your video card or go to the manufacturer's website for your pc and download the correct drivers.

You may have removed the video drivers when you formatted the pc.

Or if you have the original drivers CD that came with the computer, use that to reinstall drivers for your video card.

  4. it is your video card or more to the point your video cards drivers go to the manufactures website and download the video drivers you need

    Hope this helps
