Can't connect Ipod Touch to hotspots?

I just bought a 8gig Ipod Touch. I went to a coffee shop with wifi for customers. No matter what I did, I always got "Cannot conect to server" message. They had three wifi signals none work. It shows a perfect signal, but can't connect.

The wifi at this place has full internet capabilities, there are tons of students there working on laptops, but my d**n Touch won't connect. Any help appreciated!

I tried changing the DNS to 208.67.222.222 like another site said, still no dice!

  1. the ipod touch only supports 802.11b/g wi-fi. i think that that coffee shop might have a router that supports 802.11a and/or only 802.11n (N is the better one)

  2. well maybe you should make sure the hotspot wifi doesnt have a lock on it and if it still doesnt work then you should trade it in for another one cuz that would be a factory defect

  3. DNS usually should be 196.168.1.1 but usually works better if left to autoconfigure

if it doesn't work try this sites instructions
