I need to know why my computer can not connect to these sites. My computer has been running very slow and it often says low virtual memory so i figured i must have some form of malware on my pc. I have gone on lavasoft.com, avg.com, and severe other sites and it can't connect to these sites. I can connect to any other sites like myspace, facebook, aim.com, and yahoo.com[of course]. If I don't find a solution I'm just going to have to format my hard drive and reinstall windows.

  1. Try   http://majorgeeks.com/downloads31.html

Or the direct Ad-Aware2008 download link from cnet.com (download.com)

    http://www.download.com/Ad-Aware-2008/30...

  2. You almost certainly have malware, and it's keeping you from getting help.

One thing to try would be downloading and running while in Safe Mode With Networking.  It often prevents malware from protecting itself.

Also, turn off System Restore to evict any copies of bad stuff that might be lurking there.

To get into Safe Mode with Networking:

1.Log out and reboot your machine.

2.When the machine starts the reboot sequence, press the F8 key repeatedly.

3.Select Safe Mode with Networking from the resulting menu.

4.When the login screen comes up, log in as Administrator.  By default, Administrator has no password.

5.The machine will continue booting, but the Windows desktop will look different.

6.When you're finished, log out and reboot back into normal mode.

    Good luck.

  3. Download then scan you computer used Super Anti-Spyware  http://www.superantispyware.com/?rid=301... And Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware Download here http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/malware-...  Then Restart  you computer before open Windows press (F8) then press Safe Mode after Restart again you computer

  4. "The Phlebob" has a very good suggestion. If that still somehow doesn't work, go to a computer store or electronic store and purchase a Flash drive. They're relatively cheap and easy to use. Then, you could possible go to a friends house and download that Antivirus software onto your thumb drive and put it onto your computer IF your computer will let you.
