Can't decide between two lower end road bikes?

Question

GMC Yukon XL road bike.

or

Forge CTS 1000 Road Racing Bike

Both are similarly priced bikes. I am needing one for the occasional race, and the commute to school everyday.

If you know of a bike under $400 bikes thats better then these, let me know. Someone with bike knowledge would be preferable to answer, as I would want the bike with the better components. Thanks.

I haven't heard anything on the Forge but people seem to think Forge is okay for starter bikes.  Dawes is mentioned well, it is available on bikesdirect.com along with many others.  Dawes is Canadian assuming that is the reason for the Maple Leaf on the downtube so if it is cr*p then "Blame Canada" lol.
