Can't find a player that can do AVI video! lol?

My windows media player don't work with it i'm sooo lost right now please help!!!

  2. A player that can run AVI video is DivX Player. Download the free version off the website.

  3. you just need the codec from www.divx.com. then it will work with winamp, windows media player, or w/e you dont need to install the divx player

  4. AVI is a file format or "container". It supports multiple codecs, from DV, to MPEG-4, and Divx.

    You need to get a decoder that supports the particular codec you are using.

  5. Windows Media Player 9, 10 and 11 can play AVI files just fine. You are missing a codec, probably FFDShow.

    You can get it for free if you follow the link at Chris Lanier's blog (link below) and you should read his section on GSpot, a program that will help you with these sorts of issues in the future.
