Can't find cheap airfare tickets... buying LAST MINUTE?

Question

Okay, so I am planning to fly from LGA (LaGuardia Airport) in NY or JFK (John F. Kennedy Airport) in NY (i don't care which airport) to go to Atlanta (ATL)

I am booking last minute!!

I don't need to go on any exact date, but it has to be within the next week. Everything is so expensive.. I want something thats atleast in the high 200's.

Please help!

I found flights leaving from Newark (airport code EWR) on Tuesday July 29th or Wednesday July 30th with return dates of Tuesday, Aug 5th or Wed, Aug 6th for $248 RT + tax & fees is under $300

Out of LaGuardia the cheapest fare is departing on Tuesday, July 29th and returning on Monday, August 4th for $263 RT + tax & fees is about $324.

If you can wait to leave until Friday, August 1st, and return on Tuesday Aug 5th you can get it down to $203 out of Newark (EWR) or $208 out of LaGuardia

Last minute can actually net you CHEAPER tickets if you know how to talk to the airlines. Last time I flew with one weeks notice from seattle tacoma to dallas fort worth I paid only $69. i got my method from the guide that an ex airline employee wrote at http://www.ebooksreviewed.info/cheapest-... and I have to say you should read up on how to negotiate. Airlines have a lot of leeway especially on last minute under booked flights.
