Can't find name of famous opera song...help?

i don't have a recording for you....it's two women singing beautifly in either soprano or tenor. it's fairly popular, because i hear it in movies sometimes.spell binding duet... has been stuck in my head for days, but i can't find it! someone help! i think it's supposed to sound like heaven or something ambrosial..it's only a violin in the background i think.

Women don't sing tenor, you twit.  OK, that's out of my system, I'll be helpful now.  You're probably thinking of the duet from "Lakme", an opera by Delibes, who also wrote the ballet "Coppelia".  The opera is set in India and Delibes used modes (scales that are neither major or minor) to convey an exotic world.


  2. Try to remember what the movie was then you can google the name of the movie and ask them and (where it says contact us and you could ask.)  It's really hard to figure out what song your talking about with the small amount of information that you've given, sorry !!!!!!!!!
