Can't find the hood latch on my 1995 ford explorer?

well this is embarrassing. I got the hood popped, but I just can't seem to find the latch underneath the hood to fully open it.

Try shining a flashlight through the upper part of the grille. Often times that's where the release lever is on Ford trucks.

You should look under the hood with a flash light and you should see the lock haing between the hood and the car.  the release will be to the left or right of the lock.  It can sometimes be a part of the hood or part of the engine compartment.
