Can't get Sony Bravia HDTV+DAV-HDX500 theatresystem speakers to output when watching cable.What'mI doing wrong

Works perfectly when watching dvds, but nada when watching regular cable tv. Help!before I lose my mind re-reading instruction manuals for the billionith time.....

  1. You have to connect either a Digital Coaxial cable or a Digital Optical cable from your cable box to the A/V Reciever.

    Check your Recievers instructions on Digital Hookups.
