Don't email anyone who gives their "company" email on a response to your question.  Many scammers target people in need such as yourself.  You've mentioned you cannot get a private loan and that classes are about to start.  This is what I would do:

First check what things are available at your school.  Most undergraduate and graduate schools have at least one computer lab available to students.  These are usually equipped with a printer and scanner.

In my four years of college, I never owned my own scanner, and rarely used someone else's.  For the times I did need a scanner, I could have used the one in the computer lab.  I had my own printer, but only used it for 6 months because buying ink was more expensive than using the computer lab printer.
