  1. the coach must put u on a bar besides the boat at the beginig so u must learn the technique otherwise u wont get up easyly also put water ski gloves at your handsso they want hurt

  2. Let the boat do the work, you just need to hang on.  Keep your arms out in front of you, with a slight bend in them.  Once the boat starts to pull you, let your bum come forward towards your heels.  Pretend there's a 100 dollar bill behind your knees and you have to pinch it with the back of your knees to hang on to it.  The board will start to rise up in the water towards the surface.  Your natural tendency will be to then stand up, but don't.  In order to stand up at this point you'd have to pull with your arms and that will pull you over your toe side edge.  Remember, your arms are just an extension of the line, never use them to pull when you're getting up, just use the to hang on.  Once the board as reached the surface of the water and you're moving forward, then you can stand up.  Pull the handle towards your lead hip and the board will naturally rotate towards that direction.  Next, go big and have fun.

You should check out a instructional video or the website, learnwake.com.  Watching some video will really help too.

  3. lay back on the water so your weight is shifted properly so you dont just plow the water and when the boat starts to move forward let your butt move in toward the board- dont held your legs stiff. Dont try to muscle yourself up

  4. the absolute hardest part of wakeboarding is learning how to get up.

to begin this, sit in a ball position with your knees bent and your butt hitting your heels... your arms should be bent around the outside of your knees so that you are holding the handle in front of you..

when you are ready... keep your body in the ball postion while slightly pushing the board ahead of you.. as soon as your board planes, turn it to the side you are comfortable with and pull the handle to your front hip. many begginners have a problem of edging outside of the wake without meaning to.. to correct this.. let go with your back ahnd to keep your body aligned and stand up straight with about 60% of youre weight on your back foot, 40% on the front...

once you're ready and comfortable to go outside the wake.. you'll probably feel more comfortable going out to your heel side first. to do this, act like you are sitting in a chair or act like your standing on the balls of your feet and keep the handle close to you, this will improve the control of your board. to go out on your toe side edge, act like you're standing on your toes but the important thing to remember is keep your chest pointed towards the sky and the handle close to youre front hip.. once you have this down, its all muscle memory and youll get better and better the more you practice..

    good luck, hope this helps.

  5. I have had the same exact problem when I started wake boarding. It sucks, i know, but to get yourself completely out of the water you must act like you are pulling the boat your way.  Another way to get going is to lean far back from the start and not let go, this is how you fall forward and let go of the rope.  Start out wake boarding in a cannonball position and ride sitting down until you are moving fairly good, the slowly lean back and stand up.... this should resolve your problem.
