Question:

Can't get video when playing dvd--got a new tv and can't remember how it was hooked up to the old one?

Ok--I bought a new tv--I have an RCA rt2500 sound system-dish tv and an emerson dvd/vhs recorder--problem--When I put in a dvd--I get sound--but no picture--If I hook the dvd player up to the front holes n the tv--I get audio and video---I know there is some simple thing I am doing wrong--Please elp--this is driving me CRAZY--I could ust leave it hooked up to the front--but then it wouldn't be playing through the sound system--I need an EASY explanation as of what I need to change---Thanks!!!! I have been switching wires ALL morning----

  1. What kind of TV did you buy?


  2. Ok, go through the menu on your TV and there should be a section for auxiliary input.  You are gonna want to select the one that correlates to the rear auxiliary inputs.  

    Also are you using the red, white and yellow or the red green and blue?
