  1. If you adopt from the Foster Care System, it is almost FREE.

There are thousands of children of all races, ages, and genders needing a home with a family.  Check out the department of health and family services in your state and there will probably be a website with pictures of kids.

  2. i don't know but good luck.  i know they can't give a child to just anybody, but its a shame to charge so much in fees just to adopt a child.  Its expensive enough just to raise one.

  3. Foster care.  Plenty of foster kids are legally free for adoption.  CAll your county and inquire or see adoptuskids.com

  4. I’m not sure where you could adopt for that low cost.  That said please look into adopting from the foster care system its extremely cheap to sometimes free. One poster posted here that it cost them about 1,000 when everything was said and done. Consider opening your home to a sibling group.

  5. I agree with the other poster, get a job or three.

  6. Well, you have options.  First of all, if you could have a child biologically, you would likely have had to spend more than $10K for prenatal care, years of insurance, and/or your hospital and delivery.  That being said, adoption costs are quite varied.  If you want taxpayers to help you adopt through subsidized adoption fees, you can adopt through the state or county.  Those fees can be $0- to a few thousand.  The drawback?  Can be a long wait, you may not have a lot of options regarding ages, and you may not be qualified to adopt many of the children unless you have special skill sets and mind sets for parenting special needs children.  Private attorney adoptions can run from a few thousand to 30-40K, depending on the living expenses paid for the birthmother, and the attorneys fees.  Then there are international and private domestic adoptions which can run 20K to 30K because they are not subsidized at all by taxpayers, but rather only by the fees charged.  Those fees also cover all birthmother expenses, legal fees, any medicals fees not picked by insurance, etc.  Then, there is foster care, if you want to parent/care for and love a child but do not have the funds to adopt.  Fostering is free and in some cases subsidized.

  7. you should consider waiting sometime and saving money, other than the adoption fees you'll still need alot of money.

    best of luck!

  8. Whats your question? Get a loan or foster a child

  9. I know how you feel.  I want a Lexus, but don't have the cash.

Here's an idea: get a job.  Already have one?  Get another.  You could work at Target 15 hrs a week, evenings and weekends, have have more than 10K in a year.
