I have lymes disease and i went to the hospital about twice in 2006 and like 3-4 times in 2007 and this year. And the doctors said it was pleurisy but i just found out it's my lymes disease causing it. And it's so d**n painful, on a scale 1-10, higher than 10 for me. And i pretty much live off of Motrin and Tylenol. I take 2 pills of Motrin or Tylenol every 4 hours. Because i can't fight it on my own. It's too painful.

And i get this pleurisy (doctors say it's not pleurisy) like every week. And when it goes away it'll come pass 2 days later. But im gonna get bigger treatment for my lymes now. But is it bad to take these pain pills all the time? What damage can it really do to me? And how long untill it starts to cause damage.

  1. I had a problem with pain killers most did not work!!! pretty much only injected morphine worked for THREE days only.  Fortunately I discovered Australian Bush Flower Essences Emergency Essence sometimes I add bottlebrush to it for it to be stronger for me.

I suggest you get the book "Australian Bush Flower Healing" by Ian White

    ISBN-10: 073380

Yahoo email group discussing Australian Bush Flower Essences

These are not drugs and you can good pain relief as well as helping with your Lyme's disease problem as well and boost your immune system or balance it in any case if need be.

  2. I would do a "Liver Detox" or "Liver support regimen" if you are worried but need to take the medication.

According to the information on Web MD if you are experiencing arthritic conditions you are in the later stages of Lyme Disease.  Your doctors should have treated you with anti-biotics.  The answer to your question is yes over time Motrin and Tylenol both can cause liver damage.  Pleurisy is not a symptom of Lyme Disease so if you are having that there could be something else wrong and you need to talk to your doctor about it.

You could ask the doctor for pain killers such as Darvocet, or Vicodin, or Percocet, but over time they can all cause liver damage.  Also, there is a thing in the pharmacy it is called Percogelsic and it is the strongest over the counter pain reliever you can buy.

If you have not fully recovered you should talk to the doctor about giving you another dose of anti-biotics and some pain medicine.

As for the amount you are taking I have arthritis and they told me that I could take 9 aspirins a day so I don't think your dose is too much.

You would have to take them for a long time for them to cause liver damage.
