How do i lift the front wheel when doing a wheelie on a stunt bike. I cant it that high, like a foot the most and and it comes back doing so fast i dont have time to pedal. I think im doing something wrong when lifting because it takes like all my energy to lift it 1 foot while standing up. Am i supposed to be sitting down ? Are your pedals supposed to be level because i do that but it still doesnt work. can someone give me like a step by step guide or a link to one cause it doesnt work.

  1. I personally do not bmx, but my brother did for 7 or 8 years and i helped him out with some stuff so... Anyway, what you need to do, is lean back, and once you are up make your center of balance somewhere over the back wheel.

Also, you do stand up, but knees bent. Lean back, and jerk softly back on the handle bars. You don't pedal during a manual. you can do a wheelie (the one where you do pedal), but that is much much harder.

Just gain some speed, lean back making your center of gravity over the frontish area of your back wheel, and jerk back softly on the handle bars. If your front wheel doesnt come up, pull a little harder or lean farther back. continue with this process till it works.

However, dont get carried away, you dont want to fall backwards, it takes some practice to be able to stay balanced with the front wheel up.

  2. idk.. I just lift and pedal real fast. like lift and with one foot start pedaling hard and you will feel yourself getting vertical and just keep pedaling.
