I've been using Yahoo email for 7 yrs. Problem began 4 or 5 days ago on home computer only. IE6. (Win XP) I could visit Yahoo pages like usual but suddenly could not login. The page flashes manically between the url and 'Yahoo-login', not allowing for the page to load. So 2 days ago I tried upgrading to I.E. 7, thinking problem might be a glitch in IE 6 browser. No good. (I do like IE 7 better but) .. still have same problem. I have no trouble accessing the web. All 'surfing' is fine except for the one little thing of trying to get to the log-in page at Yahoo. I have tried to go to the log-in page from various Yahoo pages, and go there directly via my link in my Favorites. Neither works. The login page flashes manically between the url and 'Yahoo-login' and won't load the page, but only on my home computer. Problem does not occur on the public library computer. I ran virus check twice (on different days). No virus infections.

  1. Just a guess here.  Clear your cookies and Temporary Internet files, restart your browser and see if that helps.  Must admit, I have not heard of the behavior you are describing.

    Hope this helps.
