Question:

Can't lose the pounds? Could water weight be the cause?

I eat right and I exercise, but I've never lost a pound. In fact, I've gained weight. I eat 2 meals a day, not counting a bag of baked chips here and there at school. I'm in good shape and I have better stamina than my friends half my size. From what I understand, I carry a bit of water weight. My family thinks it's because I only pee once a day (if I'm lucky) even though I've tried those OTC water pills. I've had 66 oz. of water a day for a week, but I still could only pee once a day. I could feel it in my stomach and it hurt so bad, but I only got a tinkle. I'm going to the doctor Tuesday about this, but could this effect my weight?

You should eat small meals regularly, never starve yourself and don't think that a bag of crisps can make up for a meal so you should eat at least 3 meals a day, I'm not sure about the water thing but only eating two meals a day will put your body into survival mode as it is not getting energy regularly so try to eat three meals because eating 2 meals slows down your metabolism so you don't burn as many calories.


  2. yeap, it could be...you're retaining water and you could even have some bloating...66 oz isn't enough water...take your weight, add a 0 at the end, and that is the amount of water you need...oh, and yeah, it will be a looooot!!!! another problem you're having is youre just eating 2 meals...you're supposed to have 5-6 meals to keep your metabolism fast during the whole day...about the peeing thing, go see the doctor, maybe there's something wrong there...but anyways, hope this helps for the weight! good luck ;)

    I know that when I drink a lot of water and weigh myself right after I've usually gained a bit of weight  (until I pee).

    Good luck with the doctor, though! That sucks that you have trouble peeing..! =S

    Eat right

    Exerise

    Don't eat junk food!!

    Then you'll be the master at losing weight
