Can't make My Yahoo my home page?

I've clicked on the "remember me for two weeks" window, but every time I log off, it goes back to the generic Yahoo. This is getting tiring.

  1. Same thing has been happening to me ever since Yahoo came up with their "new" look for "my" page!

Interestingly enough, when just for an experiment, I allowed my new Yahoo page to be my default page, I had no problems with it (the new page) always coming back up.  Grrrr!

I assume the inability to keep our old Yahoo homepage is something Yahoo does not want because it doesn't have all the advertising on it like the new Yahoo page does.   My spyware and adware programs go nuts whenever I log into the "new" Yahoo homepage and I know it is because of the tracking of the advertisments that change each time.

If this keeps us much longer I am going to say Goodbye to Yahoo and switch to Google for my homepage.

Don't waste your time writing to Yahoo's tech support because their replies are always generic and do not address the actual problem anyway.

In the meantime, I"m going to try this one last workaround: http://my.yahoo.com/

(notice the / mark after .com) instead of just the http://my.yahoo.com  as I've always been able to do before.

  2. Just a suggestion but you may have to go to your internet options and change your homepage to

http//www.my.yahoo.com. be sure and put a dot in between my.yahoo. It may be still  www.yahoo.com. That's what I had to do. good luck
