Can't play games on instant message. Can anyone tell me Why?

Question

When I am asked to play games on instant message a big white screen opens up on the right side with a tiny square on the top left corner with a red x in the tiny box. If I invite them to play it does the same thing. It never opens up. Why. Please help.

you either need a newer v ersion or to lower your firewall
