It's just like when I was at the doctors, when the I am getting the contact very close to me eye it blinks, then I drop it. This happened so many times that the doctor gave up and told me to buy them and just practice at home. Well I have practiced a lott and I can't get them in! I've watched videos, read instructions, and anything else I can think of and still i havn't been able to put them on...not even once. Any advice?

  1. When I first got contacts...I had that same problem!  What helped me was practicing touching my eye with my finger.  After a few days, I was able to put the contacts in with no problem.  Holding your upper lashes with your left hand and pulling the bottom lid down gently, you should be able to insert the contact without blinking.

  2. Open your eye with your middle and ring fingers. Put the contact in with your pointer finger, but look up or down. That way you wouldn't be so willing to blink. Also, your contact will stick to the more moist surface, so put eye drops in first, if your eyes are dry. And make sure your putting your contact in the right way, it should look like a nice bowl shape, if it looks like a taco wrap, that means its backwards. Hope that helps. Good luck!

    ^try looking at that.

i think you might be a little nervous, so just calm down.

  4. make sure you are placing the contact directly over the colored part of your eye

hold your eye open with one hand and put the contact in with the other...if you're holding your eye open you won't blink

just keep trying...eventually you'll get it

  5. Try looking to the right or left, placing the contact on the white of your eye and then rolling your eye back over the contact, it can help as it means you don't have to look at your finger coming towards your eye!

Other than that its just a case of persevering. Eventually you will desensitise from it. Concentrate on just keeping your eye open for that extra second because that is all it takes
