Can't record in sony vegas with JVC camera!!!! help!?

im using jvc gr-d650 and i have all the equipment! i have the camcorder i have the firewire cable...i have the firewire port but still my computer can't detect the device!!!! i want to record a video using sony vegas but it can't detect my camera!

is there something i have to do? like in the settings of the computer? i have checked 1394 connection and it says its working properly but still! no camera is detected...anyone! help! pls im begging..whoever gives me the answer that makes my camera work...

  1. check if the vcam is on playback mode during vegas capture  - vegas shud remotely control vcam operations
