It's driving me crazy. I remember a book I read years ago back in Elementary school, I just can't think of the name or much of the plot. It's very.. vague. But I know it had something to do with a girl, who lived on a street where all the houses looked sort of similiar. I think in part of the book, she was talking about how she was sad when her parents got rid of the orange shag carpeting. She had neighbors too, that she grew up with. I think it was a brother and a sister. She was best friends with the sister for years but they grew apart. She started to date the brother, which upset another girl in the neighborhood that was really.. well, freaky. I think she was really pale and she lived with her step mother (or maybe alone) in a huge house because both her parents weren't around. The freaky girl had some kind of power, because I remember the main character talking about how they used to play freeze tag as kids, and the freaky girl would join in and actually freeze them I believe?
I'm sorry if that wasn't much details to go on. Does anybody have a clue what the title could be?
