Can't see body of emails on my Mac email?!?

Question

I went to re-read a message someone sent me on my Mac email and I couldn't see the body of the message. I clicked on it like usual but it didn't show up in the little box below the inbox. I checked all of the other messages and the same thing happened. I even double clicked and opened the messages in a new window, but they still didn't show up! What should I do?! I already went to the Mac email help thing, but I didn't find anything. Please help.

Try clicking on the rebuild option (it can be found under the mailbox menu option at the top of the screen in the email program)
