Im running win 2003 server and i just added another HDD on it and it detects on the bios and on the disk management, but not on my computer, when i right click the hdd on disk management it says 0 free space and 0 used space, raw disk

Any help or anyone who has came across with the problem, pls share that info. I don't want to format, there's important info inside, when i plug it to xp it works perfectly fine.

Thanx

  1. Best Article and Explanation of why and utilities to use should there had been data on that drive.

SOme times understanding the issue rather than just fixing it is more a long term benefit . Good Luck..

  2. Go back to disk management and click on the new drive. It has to be partitioned and formatted.

Its just part of adding a drive to 2003.

under XP if you can see it, get the data off! It probably isn't NTSF partitioned or isn't mounted etc.
