Can't send or shares pictures on yahoo messanger?

Hi,

I'm running windows vista X64 pro and whenever I shares pics on messanger it comes up black (no image). Also when I send and receive pics, I get an error message say that Photo gallery can't support this file format. I should have the latest Photo Gallery software as I update my computer every two weeks. Could this be a windows xp to vista compatability issue? I met other user who have encounter the same problem so at least I know I'm not alone on this one. Any clue on what might be the root cause?
