  1. What is really good is some cream of mushroom mixed with a little soy sauce, I am allergic too and that is always wat I do

  2. There's no substitute for oyster sauce.  No oyster, no oyster sauce.  If you are allergic to shellfish, I would suggest just using dark soy with a touch of sugar.  Oyster sauce is sweet and salty with oyster base, so something that is sweet and salty without the oyster may serve. It won't be the same however.

  3. Dark soy sauce? Mushroom sauce? Black bean sauce? Sesame oil?

More info' on exactly what ingredient you are allergic to would help.

  4. Oyster sauce has a salty taste. I would go with soy sauce or salt.

  5. To cook what - more info please

  6. I would try dark soy sauce with lime juice fresh chopped chilli crushed garlic this is really nice ;o) xxxx

  7. they make a vegetarian oyster sauce if you are allergic to shellfish.

  8. You should be able to find 'Vegetarian stir fry sauce' (also known as vegetarian oyster sauce) at any good chinese supermarket:

It is made from the extract of mushrooms, and has the same consistency as oyster sauce.

  9. Chad C is right, they do make vegetarian oyster sauce which I frequently use because of so many vegetarians I know.  I've seen it in all the Asian markets around my area or you can order it online here - http://importfood.com/sadf2001.html .  It is like dark, sweet, soy sauce which may also be an option for you http://importfood.com/sakh2102.html .  This is also available in Asian food markets.  Of course this is based off the assumption its a shellfish allergy you have.
