Can't view messenger history!?

Question

Somehow I can't find an answer for this one. When I try to view my history, all I ever get is a error message that says: There was a problem loading your Message History.

Also, when I try to search the history using a contacts screen name, a red circle with an "X" appears. Does this mean that the user has deleted their account? (i.e. I've been blown off!)

I had a problem similar to this.  My problem was that it would some days save my messages and some days not.  I tell you, all I did was to COMPLETELY un-install messenger (even going into the program files and deleting the folder that is always left behind), although this is really not necessary, it's just a thing I do, then start from scratch and re-install your messenger.  Sometimes the program files become corrupt and a re-install is all that is required.  Give it a try.

P.S.  If you do not delete the "left behind" fold in program files then your contacts and settings will be saved and placed back on your re-install automatically.  Also, make sure you have the box "Save Messages" in the preference menu check-marked...
