  2. i think you're mistaken and i always have to repeat myself so many times because you people don't do your research. Global warming makes our oceans warmer, and with a warmer ocean the whole climate can change. If you don't believe the oceans got warmer look at the coral reefs. They are dying from warmer water. so next time you want to criticize Global warming, do your research please so that you don't annoy the h**l out of somebody else.

  3. Funny i almost would agree. When i was a kid best as i remember, the climate wasn't this off.. I don't know if its global warming. But something is changing.

  4. Who cares what Al Gore thinks?  He has absolutely nothing to do with the overwhelming scientific proof that global warming is real, and mostly caused by us.

When a global warming denier cites Al Gore, he's simply admitting he has no real arguments.

"I wasn’t convinced by a person or any interest group—it was the data that got me. I was utterly convinced of this connection between the burning of fossil fuels and climate change. And I was convinced that if we didn’t do something about this, we would be in deep trouble.”

Vice Admiral Richard H. Truly, USN (Ret.)

    Former NASA Administrator, Shuttle Astronaut

  5. Global warming should be expected eventually to give way to a new ice age, not just as a cyclical event, but substantially as a causal relationship.

But we are likely hundreds of years away from that.

Outflow of fresh water ice from Antarctica can set up changes in ocean temperatures that will reverse themselves as the temperatures of the oceans restrict the outflow of ice.

That does not mean we can stop tracking trends that develop. They may or may  not self correct.

  6. Good point - the unprecedented drop in temperatures across the globe (approximately 0.6 degrees below the 10 year mean average temperature for this time of year) obviously indicates an unprecedented decline in global temperatures.  We MUST act now - to get ahead of the disaster!

Quick - all you people who really believe in anthropomorphic Global Warming - move to mexico and swear off air conditioning!  It's the only chance the world has!

Oh wait - I bet they don't REALLY believe!

  7. I love this topic but they've already done that, basically any change in the weather is proof of global warming. We'll be a century into the next Ice Age before they admit they're wrong.

And coral reefs have survived ocean temperatures FAR above the current level. Nobody can seem to agree on how much the air is warming and the ocean is even harder to measure. The Earth is warming and has been since the end of the Little Ice Age in the 1800s.

They were growing grapes and making wine in Nova Scotia and England before the Little Ice Age and it's not warm enough to do that today. Once we see an actual spike like on Al Gore's chart I'll get worried. Most of the increase could easily be due to measurement errors, see the link below.

  8. I think you insisting that Al Gore is parinoid, and you right

Global warming makes Mother Earth HOTTER, not colder.

  9. The argument that "Global Warming" is 100% verified is complete bull... Anyone who argues it is a fool.  I do agree that all should attempt to keep our earth healthy, but at what cost.  Al Gore has disappeared, because even the man who “invented the internet” can't explain how much of the US has had such a cold+snowy winter...

The fact that those who believe now argue that "cooling" is due to "warming" are simply trying to protect their undereducated assumptions.  It would be attune to arguing that ice cream causes people to rape…((Rape incidents increase during the summer months) during the highest sales of ice cream)

Any argument must be dissected and all factors be looked into before making assumptions.  (ie.  All crimes increase during summer months for multiple reasons…none of which are ice cream)

We are in a warm period now. Scientists have known for some time that the previous warm period started 130,000 years ago and ended 117,000 years ago, with the return of cold temperatures that led to an ice age.  The simple fact that we have had some bad breaks as it relates to climate does not prove or disprove “global warming”.  Ice-Core samples have also verified that we have had one of the longest stable climates in recent(last couple of million years) historical past.

    For believers:

Look into solar flares and the history of the global climate…

You will be advised of periods in history such as “The Little Ice Age”

Venture to areas such as Wisconsin, you will note that there are multiple glacier ridges.  Note that the glaciers began to recede prior to modern man (That includes the car!)

Look into the time depicted by the flower “Younger Dryas”… verified and historically correct.

Check into the effect of volcanism on the earth

Look into the formation and makeup of “the great Satan” OIL!  Oil fields were created during times of extreme carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and the consumption of such by plankton /bacteria and other organisms.  More so that ever in history…including today.

People must know that those who argue just to argue will no doubt listen to their “leaders” and spew their rhetoric.  Those who choose not to educate themselves before regurgitating complete c**p only make their cause more hysterical.

  10. The world extends beyond the coast of the United States.  Look at the big picture.

  11. I totally agree with Cam ,the netizen above.I think we should take immediately actions to stop global warming!!!!!!!
