Spring Valley isn't all that.  Do you mean Spanish Trail which is close to Spring Valley?  Answer - yes.

My daughter and her husband just bought a 3 year old 3700 sq ft house 4bd/4ba, 3 car garage with loft and den on a 1/4 acre near Aliente. (NW) for $300,000.  It's a gorgeous house with all the upgrades, even a beautiful slate floor.

Housing prices are pretty much in the basement here in Vegas.  Now IS the time to buy. 1/2 million will buy you a mansion.  Ever hear the phrase "buy low, sell high"??

If your talking about the Spring Valley that is in SW Las Vegas, then the answer would be yes. But with the falling home values there right now, it probably wouldn't be a wise idea to buy right now.
