  1. he could but genetic defects and mutations have a much greater chance of occuring in the offspring.

    You could wind up with slack jawed, lobster clawed, mutants instead of cute and fuzzy bunnies!

Yes, but it's not advisable.  It's not really incest because that's more of a word explaining human behavior.  In the wild I'm sure that that happens, but as a domesticated pet it could cause recessive genes to come to the forefront and medically and/or physically harm the offspring.  In the wild if this were to happen the babies would die off and would likely not be able to reproduce, but in captivity they could and it could mean serious consequences for any of the offspring.
