I don't live in Europe, but i want to know if i can open a bank account in Europe for future references?

    8% Bank Account In Europe, insured.

    No taxes.

    By the way, UBS is not safe anymore and their rates are low.

    You can have a bank account in almost any country you want, but keep in mind you still will be subject to US taxes since you may be generating income.  Also you may be subject to the other country's tax code.

    IRS question on 1040 is something like this:

    Do you have an interest or control of a foreign bank account?

    Yes/ No.
