Can A cordless phone effect wifi?

I have DSL evrey time my sister makes or gets a call my wifi single drops or completly disconnects

  1. If the line is interconnected it will disrupt the connection. You have to get a separate line to avoid that problem.

Yup, particularly panasonic cordless phones are terrible for it.  Wifi and cordless phones both run at a bunch of different frequencies, but most commonly both run at 2.4Ghz.  You can either grab a cordless phone that runs at 5.8Ghz or change your wifi to run on "802.11a" mode which runs at 5Ghz.

  3. There are 2 potential problems

    1.  You did not install the filters on voice lines to filter out the DSL signal on the voice phone; this can cause some problems with data.  Be sure to install all filters as they indicate in the DSL instruction.

    2.  Wireless routers usually use the same frequencies as most wireless phones.  If this is the cause, getting a 5.8 GHz or 900 MHz cordless phone should eliminate the conflict.  Even so, you need to install the DSL filters as directed.
