Can Airmen enter an Army Base and PX?

I know that AAFES is for both the Army and Air Force, but I was just curious if Airmen were allowed to enter an Army base and shop at the PX. I also wonder if all branches are allowed to enter different bases. For instance, can a Sailor enter an Air Force base and vice-versa? This is a weird question, I know!

  1. Yes, you can use the PX on an Army base, the Navy Exchange on a Navy base, and a Marine Corps Exchange on a Marine base, with your military ID.

  2. Of course! I'm retired Navy and I shop at an Air Force Exchange on a regular basis. You can enter and shop at every military exchange, including Coast Guard Exchanges.

  3. All military personnel and their dependents that hold a valid DOD ID card can use all facilities on base.

  4. As long as you have a DoD issued ID card, you can enter any facility on a Base/Post.

  5. Anyone with a Department of Defense ID card is allowed access to any military installation, regardless of their branch of service.  And they are allowed to shop at the PX/BX and commissary and wherever else they want to shop.

  6. Yep.  I enjoyed the privileges of the neighboring Air Force base while stationed at Pearl Harbor, and the beautiful Marine Corps golf course in San Diego.  Just have your ID, and you'll be okay.

  7. Yes they can.
