Okay,

Two 1L (half full bottle) of Smirnoff Vodka (glass bottle)

One 500mL (half full bottle) Rum (glass bottle)

One 500mL (half full bottle) Tequila (glass bottle)

All stored in the fridge, but has not been touched for over a year.

I know alcohol is a disinfectant but in general, does Hard Alcohol really go bad? Is this Alcohol safe to drink?

  1. ya its fine if it didnt have the cap screwed on it would taste funny but it'll definatly be fine.

  2. Hard liquer will not go bad. You can store in in the fridgw, freezer, cuboard, garage ect. and it will not go bad. Just keep the top screwed on so stuff doesn't fall in it.

Wine and beer can go bad after opening.

  3. You're good to go. I just finished up a bottle of Malibu rum that was in the refrigerator about that long and it didn't taste any different. I can imagine your other two would be the same way.

  4. Hard liquor does not go bad even at room temperature.

The only stuff you need to worry about are beer, coolers, wine and stuff with milk in it.  Your beer and coolers will go flat and the flavour will not be right.  Wine can turn to vinegar.  And the stuff with milk can curdle and sour.

  5. not for a long time.

  6. You should be fine with that, shouldn't expire - rum, vodka, tequila and other hard liquor can last for years, refrigerated or not.  If you'd had Kahlua or Baileys in your cupboard for a while it might not be the best.

  7. i dnt know about liqour but beer and wine does

  8. All of those alcohols will be fine, you didn't even have to refrigerate them.  As long as the alcohol isn't something like beer, wine, or made with a cream (like Bailey's) then it will not go bad.  The flavor profile may change some, but it won't go bad.
