Question:

Can American Express cardholders really cut in line for better tickets?

It really doesn't affect me because I stopped going to concerts and sporting events. The tickets are too expensive and the seats are too far away. But it still seems very unfair to the general public if American Express cardholders are getting better seats. Maybe I'll get a card just to resell the tickets on the Internet.

  1. Try it and you'll get punched.

  2. Not true.  Venues sell their seats first-come-first-served just like everyone else.  What credit card you are using has little, if any, weight on what type of seat you'll get.

  3. Every one is wrong here. You can buy your tickets through American Express before they go no sale to the public. You can also get tickets that are sold out to the general public.

  4. Nah.. I bought tickets thru Amex for Roger Waters... I had tickets in the second level. Next day I bought tickets from a scalper and for the same money I was all the way in front.

  5. Anyone who thinks they are holding better seats just waiting for AMEX customers to buy the tickets is kidding themselves. They want to sell-out the event!
