I've heard that Cape Town is one of the most beautiful cities, and I'd like to work there for a short time. Maybe just like 5 months or so.

Does anybody know if it's possible to get a short term work visa???

Please let me know. THANKS!

  1. get a work contract first.

hubby says you must apply for a gun permit before you apply for your visa

  2. It should not be a problem. If you have a fair amount of money in you bank account it will make it easier or if you know someone in SA. The documentation is very easy. You will most probably get a 2year visa

  3. To get a work Visa you will need a job offer. Getting this offer is very difficult as heavy preference is given to certain local groups due to employment equity.

  4. I think that usually for a work visa, one always needs to find a job first- a Sponsor- & then it goes on from there. So I assume it is very much possible;-)

  5. Yip as above there will be no issues getting a VISA - out of all the Provinces in South Africa - The Western Cape i.e. Cape Town is by far the safest and most enjoyable...

Just don't get roped into working in Johannesburg  - you will NOT enjoy it...

Try to come over in the Summer Months - Cape Town in Winter can be quite miserable...
