  1. CB may have controlled the fight but really didn't land a whole lot other than a few elbows.  He did hit him a few times standing up but nothing damaging.  If you noticed the CB and Tim fight, they stayed standing as CB was confident striking against Tim but not Amir.  Amir's guard was pretty good, and he worked a nice butterfly guard.  His takedown defense wasn't fantastic though.  I think Amir has a good chance of winning if he tightens up his takedown defense and improves his striking a bit more.

  2. I believe Amir can do it. Im sure he is going to train hard to get through CB's takedowns. He will probably sprawl a lot better and be able to walk away with the win. I'm definatly not saying its a for sure at all though

  3. h**l no he wont beat him again, if CB works on his cardio then he will kill Amir, because he only lost got he got tired and got caught in an armbar, i dont think that will happen this time, because he underestimated Amir and he wont make that mistake again. im going CB by decision.

  4. Amir Sadollah can most definitely beat CB again. No doubt about it. They're both great fighters, but I'm hoping Amir will win. Who am I kidding? if he doesn't .. I'm out 50 dollars from a bet.. haha. Let's hope he kicks *** eh boys.

  5. i didn't see the fight, but just beating him once gives amir an advantage because cb will have a mental hurtle to overcome.

  6. I will have to go with CB Dollaway again but I was wrong the first time.  Amir Sadollah will be the best 0-0 martial arts fighter of all time.  Both have a great future in the UFC!

  7. the only reason that fight was even close was because Amir's takedown defense was pretty horrible.  CB was getting the better of the stand-up exchanges for maybe the first half of the first round, after that i thought Amir was landing the better shots.  Besides, Amir looks like the type of fighter that needs to get hit a couple of times before he feels like he's in the fight.

If Amir can avoid the takedowns he'll win for sure.

  8. As much as I cant stand CB and his attitude I think Amir will lose the second time around. Amir is a tough guy though and he has been fun to watch during this season of ultimate fighter.

  9. I honestly thought Amir was going to lose all his fights on the show, and during the fights it looked like he was going to lose, but he seems to find a way to pull them out, so I not going to count the guy out anymore.

  10. Amir CAN beat CB again.  I have to give a lot of credit to his corner in that fight, though...did you notice how good Forrest was in Amir's corner?  He knew what CB was doing before it came - that had to break CB's concentration.  Rampage's corner was almost no help once the fight started.  A good corner makes a good fighter even better...

Regardless, each fighter has huge gaps in his game:

Amir is a striker - but he backs away too much, losing power in his strikes (well, he did with CB).  He doesn't seem to have KO power in his hands, and his best kick is the rear leg front kick which is not a KO blow.  He's good with knees in the clinch too, but he doesn't seem to initiate a clinch.  He needs to work on moving forward and being ready to fight back to his feet when he goes to the ground.  I honestly believe that if he scrambles better and moves forward against CB, Amir will win a decision.

CB is a much better all-around fighter, but he gasses really badly - and that's after working out with well-conditioned fighters and conditioning coaches on the show.  If CB can get his cardio up to par, he'll take it to the ground and dominate.  My guess is that he's going to come out guns blazing and look for the early KO.  The longer the fight goes the more chance Amir has of getting him in a submission again.

It's 50/50, but I really want Amir to win - he seems like an humble guy and a smart guy.  He'll do the work he needs in preparing for this fight, but it's still an uphill battle against CB.
