make fliers, post banners on store windows, light posts, maybe even try and post ads in the news papers or like so you could post on the internet. ask your parents or trusted adults to help uout too. but,if you post on stores or something, make sure to ask permission. i hope this helps you out ;)

Craigslist. I have always had great luck with finding occassional babysitting jobs on there.

I've been a sole proprietor for 6 years and have gotten *one* project in that time (my first year) that wasn't a referral. It strikes me that babysitting is also a referral-oriented business. I'd drop an e-mail to your friends (and your parents' friends) asking for names of people who might need baby-sitting services. People are more likely to entrust you with their children if they know who you are and who referred you to them.

You may also want to set up a "preferred-customer" system, too, such as 1 free hour of babysitting for every 10 paid.
