  1. If you take the 5 times table and add the corresponding answer from the one times table. You can create the six time table.

For example to figure out five times 6 first say what is five times 5 then five times 1 then add the two answers together and you have five times six.

The five times table is a good table to learn as a base for the other tables as you can use this technique to help with the other ones.

The 5 times table plus the 2 times table = 7 times table

and the 5 time table plus the 3 times table = the 8 times table.

Also subtract the 2 from the 10 times table to find the 8 times table.

A good idea is to use your hand to figure out the five times then

make a note of your answer then do the equivalent times table  make

a note then add the two together as i have been saying above.

This technique works with the twelve times table nicely

add the 10 times table to the 2 times table

here is another example of how it works.

    1*10=10 1*2=2 10+2= 12 so 1*12 = 12

    2*10=20 2*2=4 20+4=24       2*12=24

    3*10=30 3*2=6 30+6=36       3*12=36

    4*10=40 3*2=8 40+8=48       4*12=48

And so on take your time and double check your answers.

Many people have ways to remember things try riming something

with the answer or associating it with something you find easy to remember.

Also there are some useful links above.

A good way to help refine your math  is to remind

your self to do some maths when you have spare

    moments in the day.

An excellent place to begin is to add simple figures

in your mind try subtracting dividing and multiplying to.

Pretty much no matter how advanced  you become

its always important to keep the basic pathways open.

There is no better way than practice. No sum is to simple.

  2. Sing the song of the 6 times table in "Skip by my Lou" tune!

    6.12, 18! 6, 12, 18! 6,12,18! Skip to my Lou, my darling!

    24, 30! 24, 30! 24, 30! Skip to my Lou, my darling!

36 and 42! 36 and 42! 36 and 42! Skip to my Lou, my darling!

48 and 54! 48 and 54! 48 and 54! Skip to my Lou, my darling!

60, skip to my Lou! 60, skip to my Lou! 60, skip to my Lou! Skip to my Lou, my darling!

Sing the 8 times table by the "She'll be coming around the mountain" tune! If only I could send sound through this thing, I can teach you the song.

12 times table...well, you just have to memorize it.

    0, 12, 24, 36, 48, 60, 72, 84, 96, 108, 120, 132, 144

    13 x 13 = 169 (I think I got it right)

    14 x 14 = 196 (There is a switch of numbers)

    15 x 15 = 225 (not 255 for sure)

    16 x 16 = ???

    17 x 17 = ???

    18 x 18 = ???

    19 x 19 = ???

For the other numbers, you just have to find a mnemonic to memorize it. Or, you can repeat those numbers so frequently in your head that they are ingrained in your brain.
