I need to write an insurance business plan and have little idea how.

http://www.dinkytown.net has various financial calculators that help you fill in the detains of your financial plan.

Currently I teach business education at a college and will tell you that those sites and several others will help you.  Use your research engines - they should also help.

Also try your licensing insurance company.  They may have a lot of specific ideas for you.

The Small Business Administration website (www.sba.gov) has examples of business plans as well as advice on how to start your own business.
