Can Anyone help me with my Fantasy Football draft?

My first 2 years in the "sport" were for free, now I am playing in a league where the winner recieves 100 dollars. A few keypoints to address... is Drew Brees going to do anything like he did 2 years ago, because all of the mock drafts have him high. Also what are the best 5 recievers in order, I would put Marvin Harrison on the List but he only played like 2 games last year!

  1. I had Drew Brees last year so I am very pissed off at him.  I dont think he will do too much again because I dont see no reason why he would!  Top 5 Recievers:

    1.  Randy Moss

    2.  Reggie Wayne

    3.  T.J. Hwos yo ma

    4.  Torry Holt

    5.  Terrell Owens

  2. Hey Matt,

Money leagues are great and I think you'll have much more fun this year.  I only play in money leagues these days because they are the most competitive and you know people won't stop playing halfway through the season.  $100 is a good start for a prize, but the more money in the pot, the more fun the league becomes.  Both of my leagues have $125 entry-fees and they're a blast.

    On to your questions...

    1.  Brees will continue to perform as he has the last two years.  I'm a die-hard Saints fan, and I wish NO would sign a legit #2 receiver, but the fact is that Brees spreadsthe ball around so much that all he really need are servicable WRs who are reliable.  I have Brees slotted at #4 among QBs.

    2.  The top 5 receivers this year are are the usual suspects, with the addition of Braylon Edwards who came on strong last year.  Harrison is getting old and coming off of an injury, so I think he will do well, but not nearly as well as his best years.  Reggie Wayne has taken that role in IND, plus Gonzalez will steal some catches along the way.

    My top 5 WRs:

    1.  Randy Moss

    2.  Terrell Owens

    3.  Braylon Edwards

    4.  Larry Fitzgerald

    5.  Reggie Wayne

But why would you count on other people's rankings when you can create your own?  On my website you can create your own player rankings on an editable, web-based cheat sheet.  The interactive cheat sheet shows rankings from 3 other sites (for each player) so that you can gauge your own rankings as you configure your sheet.

On your interactive cheat sheet you can also add notes on players, mark them as 'Sleeper' or 'Bust', view their stats, and lots of other stuff.  You can also generate a printable cheat sheet (with all of your ranking) to take to your fantasy draft.  My site is completely free and it may make it easier to prepare for your fantasy draft.

    Good luck.

  3. I think Brees will have a good year. But I have him as the #5 QB.

    Top 5 WR

    1. Moss

    2. TO

    3. Wayne

    4. Edwards

    5. Andre Johnson

  4. Yes, Drew Brees will do well this year.  N.O. has a very easy scedule.  #3 QB on my board - even ahead of Romo!

    WRs:

    1. R. Moss

    2. Owens

    3. Wayne

    4. S. Smith

    5. Colston

    6. Edwards

    7. Marshall

    8. A. Johnson

    9. Fitzgerald

    10. Houshmanzadeh

Do not pick Harrison early!  He is 36, has 2 bad knees, is being questioned by the cops in a shooting etc.

  5. 1.Brees should bounce back and have a good season maybe not a good a 06 but i would guess 3,500-4,000 yards and 28-35 td's.

    2. Wide Receivers

        1. Randy Moss

        2. Terrell Owens

        3. Braylon Edwards

        4  Reggie Wayne

        5. Steve Smith (CAR)

        6. Andre Johnson

        7, TJ Hoousmanzedah

        8. Larry Fitzgerald

        9. Marques Colston

        10. Plaxico Burress

    Some to avoid:

        1. Marvin Harrison - bad knees and potential legal probs

        2. Donald Driver- no Farve = no passing game / Jennings

        3. Lavernious Coles - Injury prone

        4. Hines Ward - no games over 90 yards in 07/ Holmes,

Rookie Limus Sweed are the present and future,

        5. Javon Walker - Couldn't produce in Denver and Cutler

has a better arm then Russell

These are just my opinions but i hope they help.
