Can Australian Rugby develop its own players?

Or do they need to keep poaching players from the NRL

  1. Union at one time was doing extremely well at player development. But like any sport foreign players who are talented are sought and in turn this lessens the chances for home grown players to have the opportunity. I don't think it's a major crisis right now and as for NRL players it goes both ways, some players switch for money or because they are not feeling any advancement in League. They don't often chase forwards though, normally wingers, centres,backs, the ones with the speed !!
