Hello,

I am having a multiple entry 10 years valid visa processed by my employer. Now i am leaving the company. They say that they will cancel my B1 visa. Is this possible or are they trying to misguide me? Where can i get relevant information?

  1. yes they can stop sponsoring you. check with the INS for futher details

  2. It wouldn't be automatic by any means. A B1 visa isn't sponsored in the same way an employment visa is sponsored in the US. Is it simply a B1, or is is a B1/B2? I'm sure your company is irritated over your departure, but they can't simply cancel your visa. They could send the information to the consulate, and they would decide what, if anything, to do about it.

  3. yes

it's only logical for them to do so because 1. you are leaving them 2. they are paying for it.
